Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Shelton Baptist Church of Moselle for Mr. Matthew Pierce, age 48, of Seminary. He passed from this life on October 8, 2024, at his residence. Bro. Ricky Mitchell, Bro. Charles Brady and Bro. Wayne Woolwine will officiate with burial to follow in the Bethel Cemetery of Seminary. Serving as pallbearers will be T.J. Mixon, Chris McPhail, Jeremy Whittington, Jacob Whittington, Harrison Pierce and Hudson Pierce.

Matthew loved fishing and hunting and watching his girls dance and cheer. He was the proud owner of Shady Acres and loved all his Shady Acres family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hudson and Rachel Pierce and James and Lillian Brock.

He is survived by his wife, Julia Pierce of Seminary; daughters, Kali Pierce and Kayla Pierce; mother, Linda (Ronnie) Nelson of Moselle; father, Lavon (Annette) Pierce of Atlanta, GA; brother, Joel (Amanda) Pierce of Laurel; nephews, Harrison Pierce, Hudson Pierce and Myles Franovich; nieces, Saylor Pierce and Madeleine Franovich and step-sister, Adrienne (Jim) Franovich of Marietta, GA.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Shelton Baptist Church.
