Services for Mrs. Mary Katherine Valentine, age 85, of Richton will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 17, 2025 at Richton First Assembly of God.  Mrs. Valentine passed from this life on October 13, 2025 in Hattiesburg.  Bro. Scott Morris, Bro. Lamar Harrison, Bro. Aaron Cooley, and Bro. Aidyn Cooley will officiate the service and burial will follow in Eastside Baptist Church Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Denton Mozingo, Ray Brown, Marcus Hinton, Caleb Holifield, Chase Valentine, Kyland Cooley, and Rob Walley.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Hoss Conway, Bo Baird, and Jameson Holifield.

Mrs. Valentine was a member of Richton First Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Dennis Valentine; son, Joseph "Joe" Valentine; daughter, Sandra Gregory; ; parents, Roosevelt and Rena Bell Walley; brothers, James, Coleman, Edgar, Charles, William "Sambo", and Robert Walley; and sisters, Frances Conway  Ruby Baird, and infant daughter Walley

She is survived by her daughters, Pattie (Denton) Mozingo and Shannan Smith, both of Richton; son, Joel Smith of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Tasha (Aaron) Cooley, Heather (Daniel) Smith, Chase (Rachel) Valentine, and Makayla Mozingo (Caleb Holifield); great grandchildren, Faith Cooley, Annie Hinton, Kyland (Lacie) Cooley, Aidyn Cooley, Gunner Smith, Hayden Smith, Tate Smith, Grayson Smith, Colt Valentine, Jax Valentine, Molly Valentine, Gatlin Valentine, Jameson Holifield, and Whitley Holifield; great-great grandchild, Dallas Cooley; sister Joan Rosen of Tomball, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
