Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 13, 2025, in the Shady Grove Baptist Church of Hattiesburg, 101 Warren Mott Parkway, Hattiesburg, MS for Mr. Marvin Jerome Pigford, age 51, of Eastabuchie. Elder Willie Ellis will officiate with burial to follow in the South Hill Cemetery in Hattiesburg. Active pallbearers will be Curtis Clayton, James Harris, Jr., Greg Hinton, Fred Lee, Devante Lee and Toney Stuart. Honorary pallbearers will be Marcus Pigford, Kameron Pigford, Michael Pigford, Kaden Pigford and Jacob Pigford.

Marvin Jerome Pigford was born on August 29, 1974, to the late Elder March Pigford and Mrs. Sharonne D. Pigford. He attended Moselle Elementary School and graduated from South Jones High School.

Marvin was a licensed flatwork concrete finisher for residential and commercial foundations. He later became a certified firefighter for the Moselle community.

Marvin departed this life on Thursday, September 4, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father March Pigford, his grandparents James and Minnie Pigford, and his sister Danielle Pigford.

Marvin leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of thirty years, Felica Pigford and their six children: Sara, Jacob, Lauren, Brooke, Kameron, and Kaden Pigford; his mother, Sharonne Pigford; two brothers, Michael and Marcus Pigford; two sisters, Gianna and Simona Pigford; and one niece, Shauna Pigford, along with many other family members, relatives, and friends.

We, the family of the late Marvin Jerome Pigford, would like to thank everyone for your support and kindness during this time of sorrow. We are grateful for the flowers, cards, prayers, visits, and calls. A special thank you to the Moselle Fire Department, the Sullivans, the Jones and Son Funeral Home, the Occasions Gift Shop, First Baptist Church of Seminary, Connie Reed, Wanda Riley, and many family and friends.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Friday, September 12, 2025, at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Moselle and Saturday, 9:15 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. September 13, 2025, at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Hattiesburg.
