Beaumont City Cemetery

11:00 a.m.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 28, 2024, in the Beaumont Cemetery for Mr. Marvin Freeman, age 82, of Beaumont. Mr. Freeman passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on October 24, 2024. Bro. Danny Collins will officiate with the burial following the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Devin Freeman, Donovan Freeman, Gunner Blankinchip, Dale Carnahan, Lawrence Pugh, Jr. and Tyler Dunnam.

Marvin was born on January 31, 1942, in Beaumont, MS to Clifton Marvin and Minnie Lee Freeman. He was a retired owner of several businesses in the Beaumont and Little Creek area. He taught for several years at Beaumont High School. He served over 37 years as an alderman for the town of Beaumont.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jerrie Freeman; parents; sisters, Gail Pittman and Faye Wells.

Mr. Freeman is survived by his son, Marty Freeman of Leakesville; daughter, Nancy Pitts (Malcolm Lott) of Beaumont; brothers, Elton (Faye) Freeman of Beaumont and Kenneth (Cyndi) Freeman of Runnelstown; sisters, Margaret (Dewey) Breland of Beaumont, Dot (Doug) Harrison of McLain, Elaine Brannan of Beaumont, Minnie (Windol) Mizell of Beaumont and Darlene (Danny) Collins of Beaumont; grandchildren, Natalie (Alton) Blankinchip, Devin (Tina) Freeman, Donovan (Lindsay) Freeman, Emily Freeman and Kristin Guerin and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will also be held at the same time and location for Mrs. Doris "Jerrie" Freeman, age 78, of Beaumont, who was the wife of Mr. Marvin Freeman. Mrs. Freeman passed away on August 13, 2022 at her residence.
