Services for Mrs. Marlena Smith, age 45, of Richton will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, August 26, 2024 at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton.  Mrs. Smith passed from this life on August 22, 2024.  Bro. Josh Dunn and Bro. Kevin Barnette will officiate the service and burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Zaine Carnahan, Ashton McLain, Tyler Pittman, Heath James, BrysonTurner, and Zack Nelson.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Colton Phillips, Bradley Roberts, and George Lott.

Marlena was a member of the First Baptist Church of Richton.  She was also a member of the Bunco Babes of Richton.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Henry "Tubby" Cooper, Thelma "Tootie" Cooper, John Lee White, Sr., and Naomi White.

She is survived by her husband, Doug Smith of Richton; daughters, Isabelle Smith and Ella Grace Smith, both of Richton; parents, Henrietta and John White of Richton; and siblings, Tina Freeman of Picayune, Tamatha (William) Cowart of Beaumont, Tracey (William) Pipkins of Beaumont, Elaine (Joe) White of Petal, Gidget McLain of Richton, Michael (Alesia) Nelson of Richton, and Zachariah (Mary Katherine) Nelson of Richton.
