Services for Mrs. Marinda Loper, age 91, of Lucedale will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton.  Mrs. Loper passed from this life on October 11, 2023 at her residence.  Bro. Larry Hoyt will officiate the service and burial will follow in Brown Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Andriano Dement, Anson Dement, Butch Dement, Eric Pearce, Mike Dement, and Roger Vanderslice.

Mrs. Loper was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Dement; husband, Bennie Loper; parents, Willie Hill and Donie Manseill; sons, Greg Dement, James T. Dement, Mack Dement, Houston Dement, and Mitchell Dement; daughters, Dora Bowen, Irece Jordan, and Shirley Warden.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Lane (Aracelis) Dement of Leakesville; daughter, Mary Levon Brown of Wakefield, LA; grandchildren, Anson Levi Dement of San Diego, CA, Andriano Lane Dement of Hernando, Raquel M. Matthesius of Escondido, CA, and Vanessa M. Dement of Horn Lake; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Donie Mae Davis of Lucedale, Mavis Dearman of Lucedale, Helen Warren of Duncanville, TX, Alma Bonner of Laurel, and Alpha Lee Manseill of Runnelstown; and brother, Willie Hill Manseill of Waynesboro.
