Mrs. Maria Smith, age 86, of Hattiesburg, passed from this life on January 14, 2024 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  Mrs. Smith was born on August 6, 1937 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Sha was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Smith; parents, Mario and Matilda Espinosa; and daughters, Darlene Johnson, Iris Cole, and Linda Lamb.

She is survived by her son, John L. Smith, Jr. of Hattiesburg; and sister-in-law, Rosemary Espinosa of New Orleans, LA.
