A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 27, 2025,  at First Baptist Church in Leakesville, for Mr. Malcolm Lord, age 80, of Leakesville.  Malcolm passed from this life on September 11, 2025 at his residence.

Malcolm was born on September 14, 1944 in Mobile, Alabama.  He served in the United States Air Force and spent the majority of his life working as a professional painter.  He loved to write poems and songs in his free time.  Malcolm enjoyed fishing, watching Gunsmoke, and was a proud and passionate fan of Alabama Crimson Tide football.  More than anything, Malcolm loved his family.  They were the center of his world, and he found his greatest joy in being surrounded by those he held dear.  He will be remembered for his creativity, warmth, and the quiet strength he shared with those around him. His presence will be deeply missed and forever treasured.

Malcolm was preceded in death by his parents, Oren E. and Annie L. Lord; sisters, Mavis Ealine Christie, Barbara Ann McIntyre, Elsie Deloarn Self, Joyce Maxine Howell, and Rosemary Crawley; and brothers, Oren E. Lord, Jr., Robert Ashley Lord, and Charles Raymond Lord.

He is survived by his daughters, Christa Lord of Leakesville and Sharron Lord of Mobile; and sister, Martha Elizabeth (Al) Page of Mobile.
