10:00 - 11:00 a.m.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Good Hope Baptist Church in Purvis, for Mr. Alvin Loyd Randall, age 74, of Purvis.  Mr. Randall passed from this life on December 4, 2022.  Bro. Gabe Krell will officiate the service with burial to follow in Hartfield-Pineridge Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jimmy Cooper, Terry Bass, Roger Jackson, Wayne King, James Prudhomme, and Eddie Jones.

Loyd was born in Tylertown, Mississippi on November 30, 1948.  He was an active member of Good Hope Baptist Church, and a founding member of the Pine Ridge Volunteer Fire Department, where he served for several years.  Always up for a good chuckle, Loyd had an endless supply of "Dad Jokes" ready to share with anyone who was willing to listen.  He also enjoyed sharing trivia, or what was often referred to as useless information, with those around him.  He enjoyed spending time in his shop forging metal, woodworking, and being outdoors.

Loyd was preceded in death by his loving wife of 24 years, Barbara Aileen Harvison Randall.

Affectionately known to his family as Papa, he is survived by his stepdaughters, Pam (Mike) Watts of Purvis, and Deanna (Steve) Claburn of Holly Springs, NC; five grandchildren, Katrina Watts of Purvis, Amanda (Keith) Jones of Lackland AFB, TX, Brandon (Amanda) Claburn of Dover, DE, Leissa (Charlie) Burch of Purvis, and Meighan Claburn and her fiancé, Michael Gay of Bartow, FL, and Michael's two children, Gracelynn and Lucas; six great grandchildren, Elijah, Brooklynn, and Aryn Jones of Lackland AFB, TX, and Bentley, Baileigh, and Bryson Burch of Purvis.

Loyd is also survived by his three children, Randy Randall, Eric Randall, and Sarah Booker.
