Services for Mrs. Linda Gail Jones Malone, age 79, of Richton, will be held at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church in the Avera Community.  Mrs. Malone passed from this life on December 8, 2025 in Hattiesburg.  Bro. Joe Watson and Bro. John Mills will officiate the service and burial will follow in Indian Hill Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Davy Malone, Kade Henderson, Jakin "Bubba" Byrd, Joey Hughey, A.J. McGee, and Casey Zimmerman.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Clint Bufkin, John Boy Bufkin, and Jason Bufkin.

Mrs. Malone, a woman whose heart belonged to the outdoors and every living creature within it, was a lifelong lover of nature, animals, and adventure. Whether traveling, especially to her beloved mountains, digging through thrift stores, casting a fishing line, hunting, gardening, or canning goods "just in case," she embraced life with a spirit all her own. She also found joy in the playful side of life, spending many seasons scaring kids in spook houses and rolling yards with a mischievous grin.  Above all else, Mrs. Malone loved her family deeply and devoted herself to helping others whenever she could. Her kindness, strength, and sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Malone; twin daughters, Lora Michelle and Dora Lynelle; and parents, Hilton and Linda Jones.

She is survived by her children, Rich Henderson, Terry (Emma) Henderson, and Kristy (Stephen) Davis; grandchildren, Alyssa (Joey), Lakyn (A.J.), Dalee (Casey), Kade (Nautia), Jada, Bubba, and Jaxin; great-grandchildren, Tex, Emryn, and Rayson; sister, Mary (Keith) Bufkin; special friend, Trish Malone; her puppy, Baby Girl; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Mrs. Malone's life was a testament to generosity, grit, laughter, and unconditional love. Her memory will continue to live on in every life she touched and in every story shared about her remarkable spirit.
