Services for Mrs. Linda Joyce Breland, age 77, of Leakesville, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Unity Baptist Church.  Mrs. Breland passed from this life on July 6, 2026 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  Bro. Randy "Bubba" Pierce and Bro. Steve Cirlot will officiate the service and burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Breland was born on July 9, 1948 in Mobile, Alabama.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and cherished friend whose life was a beautiful reflection of faith, kindness, and devotion to her family. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating countless treasured memories with those she loved most. Known for her warm spirit and outgoing personality, she never met a stranger and truly enjoyed talking with people wherever she went.

A devoted homemaker, Mrs. Breland centered her life on her faith, her family, and serving others. Her compassion, generosity, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who knew her. Although her family was always her first priority, she also worked for many years at the flea market, in the Medical Records Department at Greene County Hospital, and later in the office of Dr. Moreno, where she was known for her dedication and friendly nature.  She was a faithful member of Unity Baptist Church in Leakesville, where she worshiped and served with a grateful heart.

Mrs. Breland's legacy of faith, love, kindness, and selfless devotion to others will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Breland; parents, Howard and Mary "Tishie" Childers; and brothers, Neil Childers and Tommy Childers.

She is survived by her son, Austin (Sissy) Breland; daughter, Carmen (David) Quinn; grandchildren, Magan (Ken) Cockes, Jacob (Taylor) Breland, Thomas (Tayza) Breland, and Jessie (Bracie) Breland; great-grandchildren, Cooper Cockes, Tanner Cockes, McKenly Breland, Austin Breland, Forest Breland, Fisher Breland, and Elenora Breland; sister, Sarah Koger; brother, Raymond Childers; along with numerous extended family members, dear friends, and all who were blessed to know and love her.
