Services for Mr. Lester Wayne Clifton, age 83, of Richton, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton.  Mr. Clifton passed from this life on May 1, 2024 at his residence.  Lester Wayne Clifton, Jr. will officiate the service and burial will follow in the Clifton-Curry Family Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Lester Wayne Clifton, Jr., Jimmy Adams, Muril Walley, Jack Howard, Tyler Hoeflich, Jonathan Caldwell, and Marty Whiddon as alternate.

Mr. Clifton loved to fish and spend time with his family.  He was a freemason for over 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Nona Clifton; sisters, Barbara Edwards and Cheslene Rylee; and brother, Bimbo Clifton.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia E. Clifton of Richton; daughters, Tammy Clifton (Jimmy) Adams of Richton and Kelly Rene' Clifton of Las Vegas, NV; son, Lester Wayne (Robin) Clifton, Jr. of Cleveland, TN; grandchildren, Casey Elizabeth (David) Melton, Ashley Marie (Jonathan) Caldwell, Madison Marshall, and Christopher Clifton; great grandchildren, Keira Elizabeth Lynn Melton, Bentley Dean Boyd, and Leo Reed Melton; brothers, Kenny "Tangleye" (Joyce) Clifton and Sandy (Wanda) Clifton, both of Richton; sisters, Sarah Dement and Theda (Larry) Lambert, both of Richton; and niece, Eileen Walley.
