Services for Mr. Lee Allen Travis, of Runnelstown, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 29, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Runnelstown.  Lee Allen passed peacefully from this life, surrounded by his family, on November 25, 2024 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi at the age of 90.  Bro. Henry Freeman will officiate the service and burial will follow in Runnelstown Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Jason McNelly, McKenzie Travis, Aiden McNelly, Josey Breland, Ivan McNelly, Noah Walley and Randall Henderson as alternate.

Lee Allen was born on October 27, 1934 to Lee and Elise Brown Travis from Runnelstown, Mississippi.  He married the late Oma Faye Carter Travis on June 26, 1955.  They raised one son, Allen Dale, and two daughters, Gloria Jean and Carol Faye.  Later in life he found love again with Nina Travis.

Lee Allen had a passion for farming, gardening, fishing, Ole Miss football, and most of all, spending time with his family.  He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  He was retired from Hercules where he worked for many many years.  Lee Allen was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Runnelstown and his life reflected the values of loyalty, generosity, and a sense of service to others.  His family was the heart of his life and he found immense joy in being surrounded by his loved ones, watching his family grow, and celebrating their achievements.

Lee Allen leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Oma Faye Travis; grandson, Derek Travis; parents, Lee and Elsie Travis; brother, Daniel Travis.

He is survived by his wife, Nina Travis of Runnelstown; children, Allen Travis of Carriere, Gloria  (Carl) Reid and Carol (Joey) Breland, both of Runnelstown; stepchildren, Cindy (Glenn) Howard, Karen (Tom) Strange, and Steve (Debra) Hinton, all of Runnelstown; 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.
