Mr. Laurance "Lenny" McDonald, age 63, of Hattiesburg passed from this life on Tuesday, March 18, 2024, at his residence. He was born on February 11, 1961, in Hattiesburg, MS to Ernest Edward and Bertine Crosby McDonald.

He worked as a computer programmer. He was a very talented artist and an amazing pianist and musician. In addition to playing the piano, he played many instruments including but, not limited to, the trumpet, trombone, saxophone, clarinet, flute and guitar. He also had a beautiful voice sang at many events. He loved his family and had a good sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Cindy Franklin and brother, David McDonald.

He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth McDonald of Ellisville; sisters, Ernestine Eavenson of Petal, and Marilyn Bullock of Clinton; nephews, Jeff Hinton (Shannon) of Petal, Michael Bullock (Ashley) of Madison, Chad McDonald of Hattiesburg, Tyler Franklin (Holly) of Clinton; nieces, Teresa McIlwain (Ric) of Petal, Amanda Brady of Petal, Susan Boshart (Wayne) of Madison, Jennifer Smith (Neil) of Florence, Heather Walker (Jason) of Clinton and several great nieces and nephews.
