Services for Mrs. Laura Elizabeth Overstreet Kelly, age 93, of Richton, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton.  Mrs. Kelly passed from this life on November 15, 2025 at her residence.  Bro. Bo Patterson will officiate the service and burial will follow in Edwards Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie Woodward, Mitchell Kelly, Timothy Busby, Brantley Busby, Josey Kelly, Chad Finnell, Parker Busby. and JR Kittrell.

Mrs. Kelly was a devoted Jehovah's Witness whose faith guided her throughout her long and meaningful life. During her working years, she was employed as a seamstress with Big Yank Corporation and Mid-South Manufacturing. She also spent time caring for others through her work at Golden Age Rest Home in Petal.   Mrs. Kelly found joy in the simple and beautiful things of life. She loved sewing, baking, tending to her flowers, and caring for her chickens and cows. Her hands were rarely still, and everything she touched was blessed with care and kindness.  Her life was a gift to all who knew her, and her memory will continue to bring peace and comfort.

She is more precious than rubies: and alll the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. Proverbs 3: 15 -17.

She was preceded in death by her her husband of 70 years, James Houston Kelly; son, James Michael "Mike" Kelly; grandson, Collin Busby; parents, Leslie and Eliza Overstreet; and sisters, Helen Woodward and Toni Herrin.

She is survived by her daughter, Hilda Joyce Busby of Richton; grandchildren, Jeffery (Christy) Kelly of Petal, Joseph (Kristy) Busby of Columbia; Timothy (Miranda) Busby of Richton, Mitchell (Kayla) Kelly of Richton, Joshua Kelly of Oklahoma, and Josey Kelly of Biloxi; great grandchildren, Eliga, Micheala, Jayden, Brantley, Parker, Kristopher, Kaylee, Amber, Ivy, Ashlyn, and Joslynn; great-great grandchildren, Paisley, Skylar, Kayden, and Cowen; and a host of other relatives.
