Services for Mr. Larry Dale Allen, age 81, of Beaumont will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Arlington Baptist Church in Beaumont.  Mr. Allen passed from this life on May 21, 2024 at his residence.  Rev. Mike Jamieson and Rev. Eric McCraney will officiate the service and burial will follow in Arlington Baptist Church Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be D.C. Allen, Mike Nall, Lonnie Byrd, Brent Lott, Matthew Hillman, Daron Hillman, with Neil Gottschalck and Mel Anders as alternates.

Mr. Allen enjoyed his time with his grandson and great grandson.  He was married to the love of his life, Valene, for over 58 years.  He loved Alabama football.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Earnest Allen; mother, Frances Faree Powell McCraney; step-father, George McCraney; brothers, George Edwin Allen and Randy Eugene McCraney; and sisters, Doris Marie Allen Walley and Sandra Lynn Allen Wilkins.

He is survived by his wife, Valene Allen of Beaumont; daughters, Phyllis (Mike) Nall of Orange, TX and Robin Arlene Allen of Beaumont; grandson, D.C. (Haley) Allen of Beaumont; great grandson, Caden Allen of Beaumont; and brothers, Mack (Sharon) McCraney and David (Beverly) Allen, both of Leakesville.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Mr. Allen to the Gideons or to the Baptist Children's Village.
