Services for Mrs. Kay Garris Malone, age 66, of Richton, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 7, 2024 at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton.  Mrs. Malone passed from this life on June 5, 2024 at her residence.  Bro. Charles Mayo will officiate the service and burial will follow in the Malone Family Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be David Malone, Brent Best, Cray Malone, Bo Bunnell, Heath Malone, Justin Malone, Austin Odom, and Russ Malone.

Mrs. Malone was a retired registered nurse after 30 years of service.  She worked at Perry County General Hospital, Perry County Nursing Center, and as a hospice nurse.  She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her children, granddaughters, and great grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney "Sambo" Malone; son, Rocky Malone; parents, Leonard Melvin and Martha Belle Mason Garris; sister, Sue Garris; and niece, Dawn Holmes.

She is survived by her son, David (Rachelle) Malone of Richton; daughter, Kaila Malone of Richton; granddaughters, Reegan (Austin) Odom, Anna Belle Malone, Kaitlyn Malone, Makaila Malone, Sophia Malone, and Maddison Malone; great grandsons, Conway Odom and Sawyer Malone; brothers and sisters in-law, Billy (Jamie) Malone, Kathy (David) Bunnell, Kenneth (Trish) Malone, Eileen (Robert Earl) Best, Gary (Trish) Malone, Larry Malone, and James (Tracey) Malone, all of Richton; niece, Rhonda Breland; great nephews, Spencer (Faith) Breland and Hogan Smith; and great niece, Josie Perkins.
