Graveside services for Mrs. Karen Smith, age 76, of Leakesville, will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Faith Presbyterian Cemetery in Leakesville.  Mrs. Smith passed from this life on December 20, 2023 in Leakesville.  Bro. Greg Foster will officiate the service.  Serving as pallbearers will be Chuck Smith, Derrick Smith, Kyle Graham, Gavin Green, Cory Stedman, and Derek Fallon.

Mrs. Karen worked as a social worker and wore many different hats at Greene Rural Nursing Center for over 37 years.  She attended the Leakesville United Methodist Church.  She loved people and her passion was taking care of people.  She enjoyed reading and sewing and was a die hard Ohio State fan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley E. Smith, Jr.; son, Jason Smith; parents, Ganelle Green and Ernest Stedman; sister, Melinda Stedman; and brother, Tommy Stedman.

She is survived by her children, Chuck (Monica) Smith of Semmes, AL, Amber (Robby) Graham of Leakesville, Derrick (Hanna) Smith of Lucedale, and Christopher Brian Smith of Leakesville; grandchildren, Madison, Macy, Kyle, Wesley, Caleb, Drew, Keri, Adlee, Chloe, Halle, and Abigail; great grandchildren, Landon Graham and Kate Graham; and brothers, Guy Green and Jimmy Stedman.
