Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, March 6, 2023, at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton, for Mr. Joe Garris, age 75, of Richton.  Mr. Garris passed from this life on March 1, 2023 at Asbury Hospice House.  Bro. Don Fulmer and Bro. Mikey Cooper will officiate the service with burial to follow in Cochran Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Daniel Garris, B.J. Garris, Michael Andrew Cooper, David Joel Garris and Eddie Garris.

Mr. Garris was a member of Rhodes Church of God.

Mr. Garris was preceded in death by his wife, Dollie Garris; granddaughter, Adeline Garris; parents, Edward and Sarah Garris; and brother, Howard Garris.

He is survived by his sons, Daniel Garris of Richton, Joseph Dewayne Garris of Leakesville, and David Joel "DJ" Garris of Richton; daughter, Donna Allen of Richmond, VA; brothers, Horace "Sambo" (Ann) Garris of Richton and Herman (Shirley) Garris of Laurel; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.
