Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Jones and Son Funeral Home for Mrs. Joanne Pearl English Griffith, age 91, of Richton, who passed from this life on November 16, 2025. Dr. Rory Dill and Bro. Norman Nowell will officiate the service with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery in Hattiesburg. Serving as pallbearers will be Coby Stewart, Caleb Stewart, Jacob Carter, Jeremy Carter, Noah Carter and Wayne Griffith.

Mrs. Griffith is survived by her husband, Danny Griffith; son, Robert P. (Sandi) Stewart of Ovett; daughters, Linda Joanne (Michael) Downs of Gulfport, and Sandra Arlene (Jerry, deceased) Carter of Laurel; 2 stepsons, Randy (Michelle) Griffith and Wayne (Regina) Griffith, all of Richton; stepdaughter, Lisa (Doug) Rainer of Richton; brother-in-law, Doug (Sherry) Griffith of Seminary; 5 grandchildren, Coby (Nicole) Stewart, Caleb (Taylor) Stewart, Jeremy (Candis) Carter, Elisha Gourley, and Jacob (Misty) Carter; 10 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren,  and 9 nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Billy Stewart; 2nd husband, Danny Haven; 3rd husband, Hugh Howell; parents, John and Pearlie English; brothers, Stanley and Milton English; and sisters, Alice Shelton and Sybil Kennedy.

Mrs. Griffith was a member of the Bethel Freewill Baptist church in the Buck Creek Community in Perry County.  She was a very loving and kindhearted woman. She was a choir member with a beautiful voice and an avid Christian. She was a lifelong caregiver and was generous beyond measure. She always enjoyed shopping at thrift stores and loved wearing her red lipstick and red fingernails. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to all.

The family would like to especially thank her caregiver, Gentiva Hospice; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sandi Stewart; stepdaughter, Lisa Griffith Rainer; and her loving husband, Danny Griffith for always being there with her.
