Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 for Mr. Jimmy Derl "Midnight" Walley, age 66, of Petal, at East Side Baptist Church.  Mr. Walley passed from this life on April 17, 2021 at his residence.  Bro. Danny Newell will officiate the service with burial to follow in East Side Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Billy Phillips, Jeremy Phillips, Shawn Walley, Blake Phillips, Jimmie Mac McLain, Rod Burnett and Ronald Allen.  Honorary pallbearers will be Derrick Weaver, Brody Walley and Michael Waltman.

Mr. Walley drove a truck for over 40 years.  He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and was always there for family and friends, no matter the hardship to himself.  He was a Daddy to everyone and the best Paw Paw in the world.

Mr. Walley was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Asaleen Walley; sister, Bonita Phillips.  He is survived by his wife, Margaret Walley of Petal; children, Jody (Kathrin) Strachan of Shelbyville, KY, Christopher (Carey) Walley of Celena, OH, Tonya (Donnie) Ingram of Ovett, Nick (Jaimie) Walley of Celena, OH, Michael Johnson of Petal, Kelly Johnson of Petal; brother, James (Judy) Walley of Leakesville; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 20, 2021 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Richton.
