Services will be held for Mr. Jimmy Ray Guthrie, age 82, of Moselle at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024, in the New Fellowship Baptist Church of Seminary. Mr. Guthrie passed from this life on February 27, 2024 at Forrest General Hospital. Bro. Wayne Woolwine, Bro. Neal Breland and Bro. George Moore will officiate with burial following the service. Serving as pallbearers will be John Guthrie, Drew Guthrie, Sam Guthrie, Ben Guthrie, Taylor Guthrie, John Bullock and Jeff Williamson.

Mr. Guthrie was born on July 15, 1941 to Samuel Thomas and Nettie Guthrie. He worked as a Millwright at the Masonite Corporation. He enjoyed farming, fishing and his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Walford and Thomas Charles Guthrie.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine Ann Guthrie of Moselle; sons, Jimmy (Rebecca) Guthrie, Jr. of Rawls Springs, Douglas (Leannia) Guthrie of Moselle and Anthony (Debra) Guthrie of Moselle; brothers, J.D. Guthrie and Bobby (Becky) Guthrie; sisters, Jackie Konensky, Shirley Page and Rachel Willimson; grandchildren, April (Steven), Taylor (Caroline), Carlie, Ashley, Alexis (John), London, Anthony (Monica), Andrew and Sarah and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2024, at Jones and Son Funeral Home of Moselle.
