Mr. Jimmy Wayne Dykes, age 66, of Richton, passed from this life on July 22, 2025 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Jimmy Wayne left behind a legacy of hard work, resilience, and a deep love for the outdoors. He spent many years working as a dedicated boilermaker, a trade that reflected his strong work ethic and quiet determination. Even after becoming disabled, Jimmy faced life with courage and grace.  A true outdoorsman at heart, Jimmy found his greatest joy near the water with a fishing rod in hand. Whether it was a quiet morning on the lake or an afternoon spent under open skies, he was most at peace surrounded by nature.  Jimmy will be remembered for his kind spirit, his love for simple pleasures, and the strength with which he met life's challenges. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Tommie Jean Dykes; and brother, Ronnie Dykes.

He is survived by his brothers, Mike (Felicia) Dykes of Richton, Dale (Angela) Dykes of Petal, and Johnny (Lisa) Dykes of Beaumont; sisters, Trudie J. (Johnny Ray) Eubanks of Beaumont, Jamie (Kris) Anderson of Biloxi, and Melinda Dykes of Madison, WI; aunts and uncles, Gerald and Gerri Dykes, Pauline; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
