Services for Mrs. Jessica Leigh Dewitt Finnell, age 36, of Richton, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2026 at First Pentecostal Church of Richton.  Mrs. Finnell passed from this life on August 24, 2026 in Jackson, Mississippi.  Bro. Shane Giadrosich and Bro. Justin Malone will officiate the service and burial will follow in Dykes Chapel Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie Anderson, Christopher Dewitt, Tim Busby, Eric Holley, Donald Finnell, John Creel, Michael Finnell, Andy Mayo, Cade Dewitt, and Brantley Busby.

Jessica was a devoted wife, loving mother, daughter, sister, and homemaker whose greatest joy was her family.  She earned both an associate degree and a bachelor's degree from Jones College. For the past seven years, she devoted herself to being a homemaker. She loved playing video games, spending time with animals, gardening, and reading, but above all, she treasured spending time with her baby girl. She loved her family deeply and was a faithful member of First Pentecostal Church of Richton.  Her love, kindness, faith, and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Sue DeWitt and Carlos and Louise Turner; brother, John Doss Creel; and mother-in-law, Inez Creel.

She is survived by her husband, Chad Finnell of Richton; daughter, Atleigh Finnell of Richton; father, Henry DeWitt of Richton; mother, Emily Hall of Richton; brothers, Cade DeWitt and Christopher DeWitt, both of Richton; sister, Storm Taylor of Jackson; grandparents, Eddie and Faye Anderson of the Whitfield Community; brother- and sister-in-law, Tim and Miranda Busby of Richton; uncle, Denny Anderson of Ovett; fathers-in-law, Donald Finnell and John Creel, both of Richton; nieces and nephews, Skyler, Trenton, Zander, Sophia, Jayden, Brantley, Parker, Myles, Mayla, Mireya, Elijah, Rayden, Stetson, Dawson, Grayson, Jettson, and Grace; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
