Services for Mr. Jason Tillman, age 49, of Leakesville, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Sweetwater Missionary Baptist Church in Leakesville.  Mr. Tillman passed from this life on January 23, 2026 in Lubbock, Texas.  Bro. Jon Williamson will officiate the service.

Mr. Tillman passed away leaving behind a life marked by hard work and a deep love for his family. He spent more than 30 years working in the construction industry, contributing his skills to various companies across the country. Known for his strong work ethic and hands-on nature, he found joy in building, fixing, and figuring things out.  An outdoorsman at heart, Mr. Tillman loved hunting, fishing, and spending time outside tinkering with projects. Whether working with his hands or enjoying the outdoors, he was happiest staying busy and creating something meaningful. Above all else, he cherished his family and treasured the time spent with them.  Mr. Tillman will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, and the devotion he showed to those he loved.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Tillman; sister, Melissa Tillman; and stepfather, Donnis Merritt.

He is survived by his children, Bryce (Haley) Tillman, Lakin (Jake) Stone, Dawson (Cadence) Tillman, Cooper Tillman, and Karter Williams; his beloved grandchildren, Caysen Zehner, Carter Zehner, Beckett Tillman, Elouise Tillman, Weston McAlexander, and Sawyer Stone; mother, Cathy Merritt; girlfriend, Sammee Lyda; and sister, Shannon Price.
