Services for Mr. Jarvis Dearman, age 89, of Leakesville will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 5, 2024 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Leakesville.  Mr. Dearman passed from this life on February 2, 2024 in Mobile, Alabama.  Bro. Greg Foster will officiate the service and burial will follow in the Dearman Family Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Mark McDonald, Tom Wallace, Brian Dearman, Charles Williams, Ty Dearman, and Reo Dearman.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Breland, Bobby McDonald, Wayne Dearman, Clint Hughes, Mitchell Dearman, Dale Box, Milton "Salty" Hughes, and David Helton.

Mr. Dearman owned Dearman's Service Station for over 50 years and was also a cattle farmer. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.  He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.  He was active in his church and in the community.  He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Mr. Dearman was preceded in death by his parents, George Luther and Mellie Jane Dearman; and siblings, O'Donald Dearman, Macie D. Sneelgrove, Dorris D. Neel, George O. Dearman, Auburn "Buster" Dearman, Gary L. Dearman, Barbara D. Clay, and Terry W. Dearman.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Helen Churchwell Dearman of Leakesville; children, Jarma (Irvin) Farmer and Bernie (Angie) Dearman, both of Leakesville; grandchildren, Colton (Ellen) Dearman of Midland, TX, Dalee Criddle of Sterling, VA, and Cassidy Dearman of Oxford, MS; great grandchildren, Jaxon LeBlanc, Jolee LeBlanc, Jace LeBlanc, and Jaden LeBlanc, all of Sorrento, LA; and brother, Douglas R. Dearman of Leakesville, MS.
