Graveside services for Mrs. Janeen Elliott Smith, age 70, of Richton, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the Smith Family Cemetery in Piave.  Mrs. Smith passed from this life on February 19, 2025 at her residence.  Rev. Mac Smith will officiate the service.  Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Elliott, Reggie Elliott, Kirby McLain, Michael Benakovich, Blaine Walley, and Dwaine Henderson.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jim Brown, Jim Quinn, Chris Nicholas, Michael Newman, Alex Catledge, and Cameron Ford.

Janeen worked for many years as an administrative assistant and vice president with ASI Ambulance Service in Waverly, Tennessee.  She loved people and never met a stranger.  She adored animals and was always looking to help those in need.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward P. and Dorothy Elliott.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Bruce Smith of Richton; brothers, Jerry (Arlene) Elliott and Roger (Pam) Elliott; nieces, Jana Elliott (Michael) Benakovich, Shea Elliott (Jim) Quinn, Holly Elliott (Chris) Nicholas, and Laurel Elliott (Michael) Newman; nephew, Adam (Rebecca) Elliott; cousin, Amber Elliott (Paul) Ratcliff; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hope Lodge/American Cancer Society in Jackson, Mississippi.
