Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton, for Mr. James Travis Warden, age 69, of Ovett.  Mr. Warden passed from this life on July 11, 2022 at his residence.  Bro. Ronnie Smith will officiate the service with burial to follow in Bethel Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Tyler Lirette, Logan Shows, Marlon Warden, William Murphy, Gage Hensarling, Mike Jarrell, and Justin Jefcoat.

Mr. Warden was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Sheila Warden; father, James Elmer "Pop" Warden; mother, Minnie Lee Broome; stepfather, Willie Broome; brother, Otis Warden; sister, Gwindolyn Sigrest; niece, Candace Warden, and nephew, Jason Vaughn.

He  is survived by his daughters, Kim Warden and Tina (Steve) Lirette, both of Ovett; son, Michael Warden of Ovett; sisters, Estelle Murphy of Moselle and Dolly (Thomas) Shows of Bassfield; grandchildren, Magen (Wesley) Chambers of Moselle, Samantha Jefcoat of Eastabutchie, Justin (Adrienne) Jefcoat of Ellisville, Tyler (Megan) Lirette of Ovett, Logan Shows of Lake Charles, LA, Kelly (Gage) Hensarling of Ovett, Caile (Dustin) Fontenot of Lake Charles, LA, and Marlon Warden of Lake Charles, LA; great grandchildren, Kristina Baker, Dallas Hutto, Wyatt Hutto, Cheyenne Jefcoat, Remi Shows, Thomas Fontenot, Emelyn Fontenot, Jace Fontenot, Brody Hutto, Braydon McClure, Easton Jefcoat, Waylon Jefcoat, Toby Jefcoat, Hadley Lirette, Wyatt Chambers, Charleigh Lirette, Sawyer Jefcoat, and baby Hensarling on the  way.

Mr. Warden was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Runnelstown.  He was a retired mechanic and an amazing husband, father, and grandfather.  He was loved by all who knew him and had many, many friends, and a host of nieces and nephews.  He will be greatly missed, especially that laugh and all those jokes.

Visitation will be Monday, July 18, 2022, from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Richton.
