Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Victory Heights Pentecostal Church for Mr. James Earl Morris, age 86, of Ovett.  Mr. Morris passed from this life on November 29, 2022 at Asbury Hospice House.  Bro. Colon Rowell and Pastor Jason Capers will officiate the service and burial will follow in Welcome Home Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Josh Bolivar, Jay Bolivar, James Keith Morris, Josh Crawford, Dalton Shaw, and Joey McRee.

Mr. Morris was a member of Welcome Home Jesus Name Church in Ovett.  He was retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula.

Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his father, James Clifton Morris; mother, Annie Dickinson; and sister, Phyllis Murel Miller.

He is survived by his wife, Louise "Lois" Morris of Ovett; son, Keith Morris of Laurel; daughter, Teresa Bolivar of Ovett; grandchildren, Josh Bolivar of Seminary, Jay Bolivar of Ovett, James Keith Morris of Moselle, LeAnn Winstead of Sumrall, Lakon Griffith of Ovett, and Lauren Crawford of Ovett; great grandchildren, Dalton Shaw and Hannah Shaw, both of Richton, Logan Doggett of Ovett, Izabelle Bolivar of Ovett, Dawson Bolivar of Collins, and Brantley Crawford, Oliver Crawford, Andy Crawford, and Taylor Crawford, all of Ovett; brother, William L. "Lanny" Dickinson of Witchita, KS; #2 son, Chuck Turner of Ovett; and special caregiver, Francis Sanders of Ovett.
