Services will be held for Mr. James Mitchell Kitchens, age 37, of Ovett, at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at the First United Pentecostal Church of Richton. Mr. Kitchens passed from this life on March 20, 2024. Bro. Shane Giadrosich, Bro. Colon Rowell, and Bro. Ricky Palmer will officiate with burial to follow in Welcome Home Cemetery in Ovett. Serving as pallbearers will be Joey Mills, Tommy Creel, Ross Creel, Jug Finnell, Jimmy McLain, Ricky Palmer, and Byron Clark.

Mr. Kitchens was born on January 18, 1987, in Richton to John William and Frankie Michelle Kitchens. He was a member of Welcome Home Jesus Name Church of Ovett. He was a logger for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Samantha Elaine Kitchens; son, Krymsin James Kitchens; grandfather, Owen "Buddy" Sanders; grandmother, Virginia Kitchens; and nephew, Noah Kitchens.

He is survived by his son, Cashtian Jace Kitchens of Ovett; parents, John and Michelle Kitchens of Ovett; grandmother, Frances Sanders of Ovett; sister, Charla (Corey) Malone  of Ovett; brother, Nick (Jana) Kitchens of Ovett; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at First Pentecostal Church of Richton.

Jones and Son Funeral Home of Richton is in charge of the services.
