Services for Mr. James Printess Garner, age 75, of Richton will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton.  Mr. Garner passed from this life on February 5, 2024 at his residence.  Bro. Ronald Nowell, Bro. Norman Nowell, and Bro. Bobby Ross will officiate the service and burial will follow in Bethel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Chance Garner, Lane Garner, Cody Garner, Cole Garner, Chris Garner, and Colter Garner.

Mr. Garner was the Beat 2 supervisor in Perry County for 12 years and a tractor mechanic for over 40 years.  He was a loving husband and  father who thoroughly enjoyed all of his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Shedrick and Ruby Garner; grandson, Clancey Garner; brothers, Eugene Garner, and Shedrick Garner, Jr.; and sisters, Dot Miller and Eloise Bounds.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Evelyn Garner of Richton; sons, James (Amber) Garner, Jacob (Shelby) Garner, and Joel (Christy) Garner, all of Richton; grandchildren, Chance (Jamie) Garner, Lane Garner, Colter Garner, Dakota Hinton, Merci Lynn Garner, Cody Garner, Cole Garner, and Chris Garner; great grandchildren, Kinzley Garner, Oaklyn Garner, and Aria Garner; and brother, Howard Garner of New Augusta.
