Memorial services will be held at a later date for Mr. James Dubois, age 65, of Leakesville, who passed from this life on September 10, 2026 in Hattiesburg.

Mr. Dubois spent much of his career working in the oilfield, both offshore and on land. Later in his career, he worked in pipeline X-ray inspection. He was a skilled and resourceful man who could fix nearly anything, earning a reputation as a master at repairing electronics.

Outside of work, Mr. Dubois enjoyed many hobbies and interests. He was an active ham radio operator and took great pleasure in hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time working in his yard, always finding satisfaction in staying busy and working with his hands.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruby Dubois; and brother, Andy Dubois.

He is survived by his wife, Edna Dubois of Leakesville; son, Eric Dubois of Leakesville; daughter, Jaimie Dubois of Kenner, LA; stepchildren, Rick Slade and Laura Madere; grandchildren, Jennifer, Kayla, Tylor, Tonya, Trace, and Tara; sisters, Ronda Dubois and Debra Dubois; and brother, Chris Dubois.

Mr. Dubois will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His hardworking spirit, helpful nature, love of the outdoors, and ability to fix almost anything will remain cherished memories for all who knew and loved him.
