Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton for Mr. James "Hootie" Brewer, age 53, of Richton. Mr. Brewer went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 14, 2023 at Forrest General Hospital. Bro. Evans Freeman and Bro. Russell Pettus will officiate with burial to follow in the Union Cemetery. The pallbearers will be T.J. Brewer, Jacob Brewer, Errin Brewer, Nathan Brewer, Athen Kittrell, Bentley Morgan and Ethan Siffert.

He loved kids, people, joking around and having a good time. He really enjoyed life. He loved coaching and was a devoted Christian man.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Cookie Brewer. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Brewer of Richton; sons, T.J. (Gabby) Brewer of Sumrall and Jacob Brewer of Richton; grandson, Thomas Wayne Brewer; brothers, Errin (Wendy) Brewer of Richton and Nathan Brewer of Richton; niece, Abby; nephew, Eli and Rhees Brewer and special person, Bentley Morgan of Richton.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Jones and Son Funeral Home of Richton.
