Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Jones and Son Chapel in Beaumont, for Mr. Jackey Breland, age 82, of Beaumont.  Mr. Breland passed from this life on March 2, 2023 at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg.  Rev. Irvis Dale Everett will officiate the service and burial will follow in Beaumont Cemetery.

Mr. Breland retired as Post Command Sargent Major from Camp Shelby after a career in the United States military spanning over 37 years.  He was a member of the Beaumont Masonic Lodge and attended River of Life Church.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends after retirement.

Mr. Breland was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Reed Magee; parents, Leo "Shark" and Viola Breland; and brother, L. V. Breland.

He is survived by his wife, Johnnie Breland of Beaumont, children, Reesa (Richard) Parker, Susan (Chad) Nelson, and Jackie Laverne (Derek) Magee, all of Beaumont; grandchildren, Lindsey (Seth) Lea, Shane Nelson, Andy Nelson, and Christian Magee; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
