Mrs. Imogene "Jean" West Anderson, age 93, of Waynesboro passed from this life on October 10, 2024 at Brookwood Villa in Waynesboro.

Jean's love language was cooking for friends and neighbors.  Later in life Jean actually won first place in cooking competition!  Jean loved traveling the United States in her RV, meeting new friends and enjoying new adventures.  If you knew Jean, you knew that she loved God, her family, and her dogs.  She also enjoyed reading books, music, gardening, and hummingbirds.  After her stroke in 2016, she resided at Brookwood Villa.  Although we will miss her, we take joy in knowing she lived her life to the fullest.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Houston West; husband, Tommy Anderson; parents, Stance and Pinky Davis; brother, Stance Davis, Jr; and son-in-law, Jimmy Kittrell (June).

She is survived by her children, Lamar (Wanda) West of Waynesboro, Joyce (Gary) Toupes of Covington, LA, Gary (Theresa) West of Greensboro, NC, June Kittrell of State Line, and Benny West of Waynesboro; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and sisters, Jewel Bailey of Las Vegas, NV and Irene Davis of Ellisville.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Brookwood Villa, Sandra Bivens, and Rosa Frost for their loving care.

A memorial celebration will be held in November with details to follow.
