Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton, for Mrs. Helen M. James, age 100, of Richton.  Mrs. James passed from this life on October 13, 2022 at Leakesville Health and Rehab.  Bro. Paul Walters and Bro. Josh Dunn will officiate the service with burial to follow in Mutual Rights Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Heath James, Chris Byrd, Braxton James, Chap Pope, Ronnie James, and Patrick Davis.

Mrs. James was a homemaker after working for several years with the U.S. Forestry Service.  She was a long time member of West Salem Baptist Church.

Mrs. James was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Douglas "Doug" James.

She is survived by her children Dianna Byrd of Richton, Jimmy (Aleta) James of Richton, and Terry (Sheryl) James of Neely; grandchildren, Heath (Kyla) James, Chris Byrd, Braxton (Alyssa) James, Cammie Hays, Samantha (Chris) Lyles, and Whitney (Patrick) Davis; 7 great grandchildren; and sister, Georgia Triplett of Texas.
