Services for Mrs. Helen Rae Herring, age 93, of Beaumont, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Jones and Son Chapel in Beaumont.  Bro. J.D. Breland, Bro. John Sapp, and Bro. Richard Maples will officiate the service and burial will follow in Beaumont Cemetery.

The heavens rejoiced in the early morning hours of September 20, 2025, as our Savior welcomed home His good and faithful servant, Helen Rae Herring.  Known lovingly by all as "Maw Maw Herring," she was born on April 30, 1932, to Jesse and Nancy Clark of Greene County.

Helen Rae came from humble beginnings and learned the value of hard work early in life.  When her mother fell ill, young Helen stepped into her shoes—literally standing on an apple box to reach the stove.  It was there she discovered her lifelong love of cooking and serving others.  Feeding people was her love language. She welcomed everyone with a warm meal and a place at her table, regardless of status or circumstance.

On September 20, 1958 she married the love of her life, Walter Herring.  Together they built a family raising three daughters, Kay (Billy Joe) Breland, Lynn (Keith) Pipkins, and Connie (Keith) Lott and three sons, Victor Ray, Michael (Michelle) Herring, and Lee (Amanda) Herring. Their legacy continues to grow with 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.  Walter and Helen Rae created a family-centered home filled with laughter, love, and tradition.  Sunday evenings were spent visiting relatives and hosting large gatherings, where Maw Maw's cooking and hospitality were always at the heart of it all.

In more recent years, her joy stemmed from sitting on her front porch surrounded by bright flowers and busy hummingbird feeders with her daily visitors, watching her grandchildren play in the front yard, and sipping on a fresh cup of coffee. Her smile always brightened on the days her family would gather, growing so large they filled the house, porch, and spilled over into the yard.

Even in her passing, Maw Maw Herring's spirit lingered warmly. In the days that followed, loved ones naturally gravitated to her porch, children played in the yard, and a fresh pot of coffee welcomed all who came to fellowship in her honor.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Herring; her parents, Jesse and Nancy Clark; her daughter, Kay Breland; her son, Victor Ray; and several cherished siblings, Alton Clark, J.C. Clark, Edward Clark and Bertie Faye Dikes.

Helen Rae Herring leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, unwavering faith, and a life well-lived in service to others. Her memory will forever be cherished by all who had the blessing of knowing her.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brent Sylvester, Zander Herring, Mark Breland, Kenneth Breland, Othen Pipkins, and Josh Pipkins.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Byrd, Micah Pickering, and B.J. Ross.
