2:30 - 4:00 p.m.

Services for Mrs. Helen E. Carter, age 81, of Richton, will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Runnelstown.  Mrs. Carter passed from this life on July 2, 2024 at her residence.  Bro. Aaron Bolling will officiate the service and burial will follow in the Carter Family Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Tracy Carter, Greg Carter, Derek Carter, Taylor Shows, Randall Henderson, and Jimmy White.

Mrs. Carter was a member of the First Baptist Church of Runnelstown, where she taught Sunday School to multiple age groups until her health wouldn't allow.  She loved being Nanny to a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She worked at Hattiesburg Clinic as an LPN for several years before coming home to be a devoted mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Lois Edwards.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Carter of Runnelstown; son, Kelly (Rochelle) Carter of Runnelstown; daughter, Sandra (Mike) Little of Runnelstown; sister, Joyce Cooley of Richton; grandchildren, Laiken (Jared) Gilliland of Petal, Lindsay Bond of Runnelstown, Amber (Wade) Howell of Mize, Andrea (Rickey) McLemore of Runnelstown, and Aaron (Shelby) Carter of Runnelstown; and 19 great grandchildren.
