Services for Mr. Harry Wayne Walley, age 85, of Richton, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Lovewell Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Walley passed from this life on April 14, 2024 at Asbury Hospice House.  Bro. Cobi Smith and Bro. Devin McIlwain will officiate the service and burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Joshua Byrd, Aaron Byrd, Jammy Byrd, Blake Nicholson, Blain McLain, Kirby McLain, and Ryan Walley.

Harry Wayne was a veteran of the United States Navy.  He retired from Masonite as a millwright after 34 years of service.  He was a member of Lovewell Freewill Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for over 40 years.  He also served in various positions on the Freewill Baptist Youth Camp board.  Harry Wayne was a devoted husband as well as a loving father and grandfather.  He loved his family, hunting, gardening, farming, and fishing.

To know him was to love and respect him.  He never met or made anyone feel like a stranger.  He was honored and respected by everyone who had the chance to know him.

Harry Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Anna Walley; brothers, Paul Walley, Carnol Walley, and Elbert Walley; and sisters, Etta Walley, Verniece Walley, Mary Lois Walley, and Anna "Boots" Britton.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Clima Walley of Richton; sons, Russell Walley and Timothy (Jill) Walley, both of Richton; grandchildren, Leanna (Eric) Holley of Richton, Micah (Brianna) Walley of Holly Springs, Dakota Sherrer of Petal, Jett Walley of Richton, Dylon (Hannah) Stringer of Petal, and Devin Stringer of Petal; great grandchildren, Mireya Holley of Richton, Mayla Holley of Richton, Jace Walley of Holly Springs, Drew Stringer of Petal, and Leyton Stringer of Petal; and sisters-in-law, Joyce Walley of Gordonville, TX and Annette Walley of Beaumont.
