Services for Mr. H.H. Patterson, Jr., age 87, of Moselle, will be held at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at Jones & Son Chapel in Moselle.  Mr. Patterson passed from this life on May 1, 2026 in Collins, Mississippi.  Bro. Pat Patterson and Bro. Billy Wayne Patterson will officiate the service and burial will follow in Moselle Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Patterson, Ethan Patterson, Justin Gatwood, Danny Thornton, Jr., Kevin Thornton, Dayton Davis, Randall "Turtle" Thornton, Zachary Thornton, and Derrick Davis.

Mr. Patterson passed away leaving behind a legacy of hard work, faith, and devotion to family and community. He spent most of his life working as a pulpwood hauler and mechanic, trades that reflected his strong work ethic and resourcefulness. He also enjoyed buying, selling, and trading, always finding value in both things and relationships.  A devoted member of Charity Baptist Church, Mr. Patterson faithfully served as both an elder and deacon. He was also the founder of Uncle Dan's Children.  Mr. Patterson will be remembered for his steadfast faith, generous spirit, and deep love for his family and community.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Loyene Rayborn Patterson; great-grandson, Shane Smith; parents, Harper and Nancy Emily Ann Patterson, Sr.; brothers, Grady Patterson, Tom Patterson, Buck Patterson, Amos Patterson, and Billy Patterson; and sisters, Ruby Griffith and Betty Griffith.

Mr. Patterson is survived by his children: Deborah (Mark) Craven of Myrick, Kay (Danny, Sr.) Thornton of Moselle, Ginger (Gary) Gatwood of Sumrall, and Randy (Lynn) Patterson of Moselle; grandchildren: Shelene (Kenny) Walters, Stephanie (Gary) Dykes, Amanda Atwood (Doug Taylor), Danny (Venessa) Thornton, Jr., Kevin (Lakyn) Thornton, Tatum (Josh) Holley, Justin Gatwood, Scott (Kara) Patterson, and Ethan (Bethany) Patterson.; 21 great-grandchildren; 30 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
