Services for Mr. Greg Ivey, age 49, of Ovett will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 28, 2023 at Mt. Olive United Methodist Church in Ovett.  Mr. Ivey passed from this life on July 25, 2023 at his residence.  Bro. James Saulters will officiate the service with burial to follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Lynn Smith, Garrett Peterson, Kyle Lanham, Michael Webb, and Eddie Anderson.

Greg was a member of Mt. Olive United Methodist Church.  He thoroughly enjoyed reading his Bible and sitting in the porch swing.  He was a 1993 graduate of Petal High School.

Greg was preceded in death by his father, Joel Ivey; and grandparents, Houston and Iver Ivey, Vernon and Evie Shoemake.

He is survived by his mother, Charlene Ivey of Ovett; sister, Kim (Kevin) Nobles of Sumrall; brother, Kevin Ivey of Petal; niece, Ashleigh (Kyle) Lanham of Sumrall; and great nephews, Konner Lanham and Karson Lanham.
