Services for Mr. Grady Sullivan, age 80, of Richton, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton.  Mr. Sullivan passed from this life on December 29, 2023 in Richton.  Bro. J.R. Hartfield and Bro. Mylan Mills will officiate the service and burial will follow in Dykes Chapel Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Noah Mills, Cayson Mills, Donald Ray Stinson, Jr., Trace Sullivan, Bryce Sullivan, and Mason Sullivan.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jason Mills, Jerome Mills, Delane James, Joey Mills, James Wayne Dykes, and Doug Dykes.

Mr. Sullivan was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War.  He retired from Murphy Oil Company in 1995. He then opened Grady's Electrical where he was self-employed as an electrician until 2010, passing his knowledge of electrical and A/C to his sons and nephews.  His knowledge of history and space science was extraordinary.  Grady never met a stranger and was loved by all.  He was the life of the party.  He would do anything in his power to do whatever his granddaughters Krista, Caylen, and Haley asked him to do, including pranks that they played on him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Vardaman and Myrtle M. Sullivan; brothers, Charles Sullivan and James Maddox; and sister, Vera Sullivan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Sue Sullivan of Richton; sons, Billy (Wynette) Sullivan of Grand Bay, AL, Mylan (Donna) Mills of Lucedale. and Benjiman (Cecilia) Sullivan of Richton; daughters, Veronica (Kelly) Byrd, Shelly (James) Tucker, and Carolene (John) Burge, all of Richton; brothers, J.D. (Seretha) Maddox of Escatawpa, Harlon Sullivan and Benny (Karen) Sullivan, both of Petal; sisters, Vesta Hollis of Biloxi and Hazel (Gerald) Rawls of Raymond; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
