Mrs. Glory Smith, age 86, of Hattiesburg, passed from this life on January 13, 2026 at her residence.

Mrs. Smith worked for several years as a nurse's aide, a role that reflected her compassion and dedication to caring for others.
She devoted herself to caring for her patients with kindness, patience, and dignity.

She was preceded in death by her father, Smiley Jefferson; mother, Mary Carr; and sons, Sylvester Smith, Bernard Smith, and Britten Smith, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Yvonne (Paul) Pittman of Hattiesburg, Linda Strickland of Flint, MI, Gloria (Alfonson) Johnson of Atlanta, GA, and Rayshun Smith of Atlanta, GA; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; special friends, Molly Elbert and Pastor Moore.
