Services for Mrs. Gloria Jean "Queenie" Hinton, age 83, of Richton, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Bethel Freewill Baptist Church.  Mrs. Hinton passed from this life on May 6, 2026 at her residence.  Bro. Bobby Ross and Bro. Ronald Nowell will officiate the service and burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be James Brock, Chris Smith, Eli Smith, Nicky Cochran, Kevin Cooley, and Gene Hinton.

Mrs. Hinton was a faithful member of Bethel Freewill Baptist Church and retired from Mid South Manufacturing in Richton after 43 years of dedicated service as a buttonhole maker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Joseph "Cow Puncher" Hinton; parents, Jim and Grace White; and eleven brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, Stephen (Alisa) White of Laurel; grandchildren, Kenneth (Courtney) White, Meka White (James Brock) of Ellisville, and Cody White of Waynesboro; great-grandchildren, Stephanie Annalise White, William Stephen Brock, and Jaylyn Brock, all of Ellisville; and a  host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
