Services for Mr. Gerald "Gus" Clark, age 85, of Petal will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 21, 2026 at Jones & Son Chapel in Richton.  Mr. Clark passed from this life on May 18, 2026 in Petal.  Bro. Eric Richards and Bro. Rayford Davis will officiate the service and burial will follow in Prine Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Clayton Landrum, Russell Clark, Braden Clark, Randy Reyer, Will Roberts, and Tim Jones.

Mr. Clark was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran.  He worked most of his life as a pipe welder and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for those he loved. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially yard work, and was an avid sports fan throughout his life.  Above all else, Mr. Clark loved his family. He especially cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and was always ready to be with them whenever he could. His presence, wisdom, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Emma Jean Clark; second wife, Billie Margaret Clark; son, Gerald "Jerry" Clark, Jr.; parents; and brothers, Cecil (Emma) Clark and Sonny (Shirley) Clark.

Mr. Clark is survived by his sons, Kenneth Clark and Shane (Susan) Clark, both of Petal; daughters, Jolene Magee of Petal and Melissa Tingle of Lucedale; grandchildren, Fallon (Tommy) Landrum, Leslie (Tim) Jones, Braden Clark, Austin Reed, and Emily Clark; great-grandchildren, Clayton (Sarah) Landrum, Taylor and Hayes Jones, Alex Jones, Addison Landrum, Kendall and Matt Tingle; great-great-grandchildren, Madeleine Landrum and Louin Landrum; and son-in-law, Cody O'Cain.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Heart of Hospice, especially Mary Beth, Marie, and Cassandra, for the love, care, and compassion shown during this difficult time.
