A memorial service will be held at a later date for Mr. Gerald "Sonny" Breland, age 79, of Beaumont.  Mr. Breland passed from this life on August 9, 2022 at Forrest General Hospital.

Mr. Breland worked in the petroleum industry for over 50 years. He worked for Beacon Equipment Service for many years before starting his own business.  He loved to sing karaoke and go to Cruisin' the Coast.  He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mr. Breland was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Deta Breland; and sister, Barbara Jean Willingham.

He is survived by his children, Laura (John) Angle of Mobile, AL, Charles W. (Karen) Breland of Semmes, AL, and Jessica Elizabeth Breland of Bayou La Batre, AL; grandchild, Kaycee Breland; and siblings, Willis Earl (Ruth) Breland of Mobile, AL, Jennie Sue (Gary) Tillman of Mobile, AL, and Charles Marion (Debra) Breland of Semmes, AL.
