Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton, for Mrs. Gay Ola Phillips McDonald, age 88, of Richton.  Mrs. McDonald passed from this life on August 20, 2022 at her residence.  Bro. Brandon Bell and Bro. Jarrod Vanderslice will officiate the service with burial to follow in Edwards Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Danny Mills, Duane Mills, Kaiden Wade, Kevin Wade, Mike Williams, Eli Dykes, and David Jones.

Mrs. McDonald was a member of the County Line Freewill Baptist Church in Richton.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She loved to work in her yard and flower garden.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marlyn Dykes; second husband, Dewitt McDonald; and parents, R.C. and Myrtle Phillips.

She is survived by her sons, Marlyn Hugh (Janet) Dykes of Ocean Springs and David (Karen) Dykes of Long Beach; grandchildren, Eli Dykes, Amy (Kevin) Wade, and Adam (Ashley) Dykes; great grandchildren, Anastasia Wade, Kaiden Wade, Kirstin Dykes, and Levi Dykes; sisters, Oree (Charles) Henderson of Waynesboro, Robbie Mills of Waynesboro, Garcia (TT) Hutto of Waynesboro, Shirley Dykes of Richton, and Ardena (Curt) Ellzey of Biloxi; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
