Services for Mr. Gary Dale Rush, age 55, of Richton will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Loop Road Baptist Church.  Mr. Rush passed from this life on May 7, 2023 at Perry County General Hospital.  Bro. Gerald Sanders will officiate the service and burial will follow in Family Circle Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Whitehurst, Brian Whitehurst, Samuel Smith, Justin Finnell, Tim Meadows, and Joseph Williford.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Shonn Moss and Shane Melvin.

Mr. Rush attended Loop Road Baptist Church.  He was a lineman with East Bay Power Company in Alabama.

Mr. Rush was preceded in death by his father, Gwin Rush; daughter, Gia Lynn Rush; grandchildren, Harper Smith and London Smith; brother, Hugh Rush; niece, Paige King; and nephew, Tyler Rush.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Rush of Richton; daughter, Lacey (Samuel) Smith of Richton; mother, Barbra Rush-Simoneau of Decatur; sister, Vickie Rush of Mt. Olive; grandson, Kayson Smith; and adopted grandchildren, Emma Smith, Rush Smith, and Riley Speed.
