A memorial service will be held at a later date for Mrs. Gail Johnson, age 72, of Sumrall.  Mrs. Johnson passed from this life on June 27, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Johnson; son, Brian Johnson; grandson, Joey Johnson; son-in-law, Kevin Sims; and brother, James Carrol Herrin.

She is survived by her daughter, Celia Jolene Sims (Kevin) of Sumrall; son, Brett Johnson of Sumrall; grandchildren, Nikki (Malichi) Johnson-Holifield of Sumrall, James Johnson, and Travis Johnson, both of Oak Grove; great granddaughter, Sophie Holifield of Sumrall; sister, Kem (Scott) Dumal of Ocean Springs; brother, Wim (Kathy) Bailey of Petal; step-sister, Charla (Wayne) Harrison of Lawton, OK; and a host of aunts, nieces, and nephews.
