Services for Mrs. Faye Stewart, age 75, of Leakesville, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Midway Baptist Church in McLain.  Interment will follow in the Scotland Cemetery.

Mrs. Stewart held many titles throughout her life; Mrs. Faye, momma, wife, granny, sister, friend, and most importantly, mawmaw Faye.  She loved with her whole heart and you never had to question that.  She was faithful to her family and made sure that nobody ever left her house hungry.  She enjoyed visiting with friends and family around her kitchen table and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren every chance she got.  She was faithful to serve the Lord at Midway Baptist Church where she was an active member.

She was preceded in death by parents, Edwin and Docia McLeod; her sister, Sue Byrd, and her precious great grandson, Noah Beckett Dix.

She leaves some of the most precious memories to her beloved husband of 57 years, Mackie Ray Stewart; her children, Danny (Doree) Stewart, Calvin (Staci) Stewart, Jimmy "Bo" (Rhonda) Stewart, Jeff (Miranda) Stewart, and Becky (Michael) Dix, all of Leakesville; her brother, Glen (Brenda) McLeod of Quitman; her sisters, Jewel (Athen) Kittrell of State Line, Doris Mixon of Leakesville, and Audrey (Mike) Stringfellow of Lucedale; 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.  She also leaves behind a number of nieces and nephews, and an untold number of friends.

Visitation for Mrs. Faye will begin at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Midway Baptist Church.
